While visiting in the upper west side NY, found this gem of a place to get a delicious breakfast sandwich ; croissant and good tasting coffee. Not crowded when I was here. Good seating area to eat and/or work (if needed with one 's laptop). Animal friendly . Staff is helpful and friendly ! It has a wine bar...so maybe in the late afternoon or evening , this place transforms into a trendy bar scene

I like there Canele's in the past but they are not great at scheduling large deliveries in advance. Tried to schedule two dozen pastries for delivery directly with them and their delivery comithout weeks in advance. Was told everything was great only for them to cancel at the exact moment of delivery without warning. Working to reorder it but it will arrive late If you swing by there store and they have something your in luck but they are not as reliable for delivery

Great place to meet friends before heading over to Lincoln Center. They have an excellent choice of sandwiches and salads. And a long wine/drink list. They also have a nice little bar where you can sit and chat or you can people watch from a table near the window. There is no waiter service. You have to go up to the counter to order food. The attendants are friendly and quick.

I was hesitant about trying it given the lukewarm reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised. Service was efficient and friendly. You order at the counter and find a seat. Smallish inside, but they have heated outdoor cabanas that seat far more. The lattes are excellent, and reasonably priced, as are the pastries. Had the chocolate danish (pictured) as well as a chocolate croissant and a cinnamon scone. Went back the next day to have another croissant! Definitely will be returning.
